Divorce

Divorce can feel overwhelming, and rightfully so. There are many factors to be taken into consideration when seeking a divorce. Make sure you have an attorney who can provide appropriate guidance on property distribution, alimony, monetary award, custody, and child support.

Court Appointed Child’s Attorney

Emily is specially trained to serve as a Court Appointed Child Attorney and has been appointed in Carroll County and Baltimore County as a Child’s Privilege Attorney, and Best Interest Attorney. She has also served privately (not appointed by the Court) as a Child Advocate.

Custody and Child Support

Custody and support go hand-in-hand. Even after a divorce (or outside of divorce for parents that were never married), custody can be considered by the courts. Whenever custody is considered, so is child support.

Mediation

Emily is a certified mediator and works with the Carroll County Circuit Court as a Settlement Officer. She is also available for private mediations between parties (with or without counsel) who are looking to avoid the trauma and expense of litigation.
